According to you, everyone was facinating. In some way, of course, you're right, but facination only is created in the viewer's mind and is not fixed to the person/object/situation that is being looked at. So in order to create fascination, you must catch the viewer's attention. Without attention, there is no fascination.
So to me, it's absolutely legitimate to dress up or pretend, IF that's not the main purpose itself.
what is "fascination " ? it's not you pretend or dress up some kind of extrinsic/outlook , it just the nature thing that comes from inside of body ...
